Students will examine the art and process of still life painting from life. A simple subject will be set up and students will paint a finished work. Primary topics of focus will include:

This class is designed for those students who have a working knowledge of basic techniques and materials in their media of choice: oil or watercolor and acrylic. The focus will be on refining and enhancing skills, thus enabling students to bring their work to the next level. Painting fundamentals including composition and design, color mixing, value and drawing will be addressed as the instructor works with each student individually and encourages them to develop and define their own unique style. Students work from their own reference material.
